An out of sorts Leicester City host a Manchester United side on their way out of a similar slump in the Premier League on Thursday evening.

The Foxes have begun the campaign with just one point from their opening four matches. Leicester slumped to the foot of the table after failing to get anything out of their trip to Stamford Bridge despite playing against just ten Chelsea players for more than an hour.

Manchester United recorded consecutive league victories for the first time since February with a gritty 1-0 win away to Southampton last weekend, backing up their galvanising derby triumph against Liverpool.

Here's everything you need to know about this season's first Premier League match in September.

Leicester team news

James Maddison missed Leicester's defeat to Chelsea after he felt a "twinge" during training. Brendan Rodgers was "hopeful" his number ten would return for the visit of Manchester United.

While "most of the guys" have been training this week, Leicester are set to be without the pair of fullbacks Ryan Bertrand (knee) and Ricardo Pereira (Achilles) for the foreseeable future.

Manchester United team news

Anthony Martial's injury-blighted start to the season continued as the forward was forced to miss the trip to Southampton with an Achilles problem. Erik ten Hag was hopeful of a swift return but failed to offer any assurances.

The club's €100m arrival Antony was only confirmed on Tuesday, leaving his involvement this Thursday unlikely.

Defenders Victor Lindelof and Brandon Williams are still doubts while Facundo Pellistri isn't expected to return until October.

Manchester United predicted lineup vs Leicester

Manchester United Starting 11: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; Fred, Casemiro; Elanga, Fernandes, Sancho; Rashford.
Bench: Heaton, Maguire, Ronaldo, McTominay, Eriksen, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Van de Beek, Garnacho.

Leicester vs Manchester United score prediction

Across their opening four fixtures, opponents have scored with almost a quarter of the shots they have taken against Leicester - comfortably the highest opposition conversion rate in the Premier League.

A sluggish start to life as the club's new number one goalkeeper for Danny Ward has been compounded by his teammates affording opponents detrimentally clear sights of goal.

This improving Manchester United side may still be "a work in progress" according to Ten Hag but they certainly have the personnel to take advantage of the gifts Leicester often hand out.

Prediction: Leicester 1-2 Manchester United
