Wolves predicted lineup vs West Ham - Premier League
Wolves travel to the capital to face West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Following their last gasp defeat to Arsenal in midweek, Wolves still go into the weekend's fixtures in seventh. At this same stage last season - what proved to be Nuno Espirito Santo's last at the Molineux helm - Wolves were 12th, with seven fewer points than they can currently boast.
Here's the XI that Bruno Lage may deploy to continue the team's improvement.
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Jose Sa (GK) - A sensational debut campaign in England's top flight has only been marginally blemished by the first own goal of Sa's league career on Thursday.
Max Kilman (CB) - The London-born 24-year-old hasn't missed a minute of Premier League football since skulking off in stoppage time of Wolves' first game of the season.
Conor Coady (CB) - As a virtual ever-present, Coady has captained Wolves to five Premier League wins against West Ham, the highest tally the club has amassed against any club since their promotion in 2018.
Romain Saiss (CB) - A stalwart of this season's tight rearguard, Saiss has surprisingly been allowed to enter the final months of his contract at the club.
2. Midfielders & wing-backs
Jonny (RWB) - With Nelson Semedo set to be sidelined, the amiable and versatile wing-back may be in line for his first Premier League start since March 2021 after a hellish recovery period.
Ruben Neves (CM) - Once the youngest captain to ever lead his side in a Champions League game is aiming to return to the European elite for the first time since his days as a teenager with Porto in 2017.
Joao Moutinho (CM) - The squad's oldest member has missed a grand total of just seven league games across his four seasons in the Midlands.
Rayan Ait-Nouri (LWB) - An individual his captain insists can 'walk while he's asleep' has been lively enough to warrant a start in half of the club's league games this term.
3. Forwards
Daniel Podence (RW) - Wolves' number ten is on his longest streak of Premier League starts (nine) since December 2020.
Raul Jimenez (ST) - West Ham are one of just four opponents that Jimenez has scored against this season, netting the winner in November's reverse fixture.
Hee-chan Hwang (LW) - With five goals from 12 shots, no player in Europe's top five leagues has been more efficient than the deadly South Korea international (per FBref).
