Tottenham Hotspur host an inconsistent Liverpool side in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Antonio Conte's side have trailed at the half-time interval of their last four matches. Although, Spurs have rallied to avoid defeat in three of those outings, winning their last two despite the deficit.

Here's the XI Conte may deploy to avoid the need for another recovery this weekend.

Harry Kane

GK: Hugo Lloris - Tottenham's skipper has only ever kept one clean sheet against Liverpool across 19 appearances against the Reds.

CB: Eric Dier - Conte has lost so much faith in Davinson Sanchez that he is willing to shift Dier out of the middle of the back-three in the continuing absence of the injured Cristian Romero.

CB: Clement Lenglet - As a PSG fan growing up, Lenglet's midweek goal against Marseille will mean more than the Champions League qualification it secured.

CB: Ben Davies - In 12 career meetings with Liverpool, Davies has never ended on the winning side (D5 L7).

RWB: Emerson Royal - When he first began to foster an interest in the sport, Emerson admitted that he "was always the worst in the family". The same cannot be said now (probably).

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur - The Uruguayan midfielder covers plenty of ground for Spurs thanks to the demanding Conte. “He doesn't relax for a second," Bentancur said of his manager, "and he doesn't allow us to relax either.”

CM: Yves Bissouma - The former Lille midfielder was part of Tottenham's initial shortlist for Mousa Dembele replacements before Brighton snapped him up in 2018. Four years later, the Seagulls made a £10m profit on the Mali international.

CM: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - By scoring the late winner against Marseille on Tuesday night, Hojbjerg matched the most prolific season of his senior career (four goals).

LWB: Ivan Perisic - The relationship with his former Borussia Dortmund boss hasn't always been cordial but Perisic admitted years later that Jurgen Klopp "taught me modern football".

ST: Lucas Moura - In the expected absence of Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, Moura is all but guaranteed a starting berth.

ST: Harry Kane - Tottenham's talisman can now legally herd livestock across London Bridge toll-free after being awarded the freedom of the city this week. Finally.
