Todd Boehly has urged Chelsea fans to keep the faith as the Blues attempt to respond from a miserable debut season under the new ownership.

Co-owner Boehly has overseen a chaotic first campaign in which he has authorised a £600m transfer spend, sacked Thomas Tuchel, hired and fired Graham Potter and watched Chelsea slip to 11th in the Premier League table.

The Blues' focus is now on the Champions League, with the quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, and Boehly has already predicted a huge 3-0 win for his out-of-form side against the reigning European champions.

Shortly after, he sent a message to the Chelsea fans, many of whom have blamed Boehly for the club's current struggled.

"Have a lot of faith," he told Sky Sports. "And we're going to win 3-0 tonight."

He continued: "We look at this as a very long-term process and we had a lot of work to do, and we're excited about the future.

"The future is bright, and we're excited about tonight."

The primary focus for Chelsea right now is the search for a new manager, with Frank Lampard brought in on a caretaker basis until the end of the season to try and instil some temporary stability until a permanent replacement is found.

Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are among those under consideration by the Blues hierarchy, who are keen to speak to as many candidates as possible to determine the best fit for the team going forward.
