PFA Vertu Motors WSL Fans' Player of the Month - March nominees

90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2021/22 & 2022/23 seasons.
Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

1. Ona Batlle (Man Utd)

Ona Batlle consistently impressed for Manchester United throughout March as the team took 10 points from a possible 12 in the WSL, with the Spanish full-back a chief attacking threat in a lineup already brimming with talent.
Her bursts from deep and crossing ability resulted in two assists in wins over Leicester and Everton, the latter for a crucial equaliser at Old Trafford. A contender for goal of the season against Reading was wrongly not given due to the officials failing to see the ball had clearly crossed the line.
2. Alex Greenwood (Man City)

Having already been named PFA Vertu Motors WSL Fans' Player of the Month for February, Manchester City centre-back Alex Greenwood did not take her foot off the gas in March and contributed to three more vital wins in the race for the third Champions League qualifying place.
City didn't concede a goal in three league games during the month. Greenwood's ability to read the game and impeccable passing underpinned that. She even scored one of her own in a thrashing of Everton.
3. Sam Kerr (Chelsea)

Even without usual partner in crime Fran Kirby alongside her, Sam Kerr was on fire in front of goal for Chelsea in March, scoring more than a goal per game in the WSL.
Four successive wins sent the reigning champions top of the table for the first time this season as they leapfrogged Arsenal. Kerr scored twice and got an assist in a record 9-0 away win at Leicester, as well as netting once each against West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton.
4. Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal)

Vivianne Miedema thrived in a slightly different position for Arsenal in March. The Dutch international is widely known as a prolific 'number nine', but she has long favoured a more creative 'number 10' role, having played it earlier in her career, and recently got that chance in the WSL.
Deeper than fans have been used to seeing, she has struck up a great early understanding with January arrival Stina Blackstenius and finished the month with two goals and two assists in the WSL.
5. Guro Reiten (Chelsea)

Clean sheets: 3
Guro Reiten is a winger by trade, but it is as a wing-back that she made herself such a key player for Chelsea. Her attacking ability was on full display in March with three goals in just four WSL games.
The Norwegian put Leicester to the sword with two first-half goals in a 9-0 Chelsea mauling. She also scored early in a win over Everton, while her defensive work was never neglected either, doing enough to help her team record three clean sheets.
6. Alessia Russo (Man Utd)

Assists: 1
Manchester United striker Alessia Russo has taken her game to new levels this season and March was arguably her best individual month yet. Four goals across four games tells its own story, while her excellent all-round game has seen a major creative spark in build-up play.
Having supported the club growing up, Russo capped her month by scoring twice at Old Trafford in a comeback win over Everton on what was a historic day for her and the club.
