The newly promoted duo of Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth face off at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.

Both have collected four points and scored just twice on their returns to the top flight so far. While Steve Cooper's Premier League assault has been aided by a board willing to spend the best part of £150m in the off-season, Scott Parker was dismissed after just four matches because he wasn't "aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably", owner Maxim Demin explained.

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming meeting between these Championship escapees.

Nottingham Forest team news

Cooper was unhelpfully vague regarding the severity of Orel Mangala's hamstring injury, offering that it is "more days and weeks rather than any longer than that". How many days and or weeks remains to be seen but his involvement this weekend is highly unlikely.

Omar Richards isn't expected to overcome a fractured leg until the start of October at the earliest. Moussa Niakhate's return is scheduled closer to Halloween after picking up a thigh injury during the club's first Premier League victory in 23 years against West Ham.

Nottingham Forest predicted lineup vs Bournemouth

Nottingham Forest Starting 11: Henderson; Worrall, Kouyate, McKenna; Williams, Freuler, O'Brien, Lodi; Gibbs-White, Lingard; Johnson.
Bench: Hennessey, Biancone, Cook, Colback, Awoniyi, Yates, Toffolo, Surridge, Dennis.

Bournemouth team news

David Brooks and Joe Rothwell are still building full match fitness while Junior Stanislas has a groin issue which leaves his involvement unlikely.

Ben Pearson injured his knee during Bournemouth's shellacking against Liverpool last weekend. Interim head coach Gary O'Neil wasn't clear on the severity of the issue but the midfielder is a major doubt not only for this Saturday but in the games going forward.

Bournemouth predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest

Bournemouth Starting 11: Travers; Smith, Mepham, Kelly, Zemura; Cook, Lerma; Tavernier, Billing, Christie; Solanke.
Bench: Neto, Fredericks, Marcondes, Stacey, Lowe, Moore, Hill, Senesi, Anthony.

Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth score prediction

Forest were defeated home and away by Bournemouth when they pair shared the Championship last season. However, the City Ground fixture was conducted before Cooper strode through the door.

Cooper's side is still an unfinished jigsaw puzzle but they possess the requisite parts to "roll their sleeves up" - as their manager has demanded - and overcome the upcoming visitors who have scarcely strengthened over the summer.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Bournemouth
