Norwich City predicted lineup vs Leeds United - Premier League
Relegation-threatened Norwich City travel to Leeds United's Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Canaries have only lost one of their last nine league visits to Yorkshire clubs, collecting six victories and two draws in the process. Norwich only won half a dozen of their past 32 trips to God's own country (per the Premier League's official website).
Here's the XI Dean Smith may deploy to extend the club's good form in that particular county.
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Tim Krul (GK) - The recently recovered number one hasn't kept a clean sheet in a Premier League victory since February 2020, pre-pandemic.
Max Aarons (RB) - Having started his first league match on the bench since 2018 last weekend, Smith restored Aarons to the lineup in midweek.
Grant Hanley (CB) - The Norwich skipper has lost four of his last five appearances against Leeds, last featuring in a defence that kept a clean sheet in Yorkshire in 2015.
Ozan Kabak (CB) - Drafted in as Norwich matched up Chelsea's back-three on Thursday, the Turkey international could retain his spot following Ben Gibson's horror show against Brentford.
Brandon Williams (LB) - The Manchester United loanee was an unused substitute for an opening day mauling his parent club dished out to Leeds.
2. Midfielders
Billy Gilmour (CM) - The Chelsea loanee is poised for a return following his enforced absence as Norwich hosted his parent club in midweek.
Mathias Normann (CM) - Despite some individual displays that have impressed amidst the relegation mire, Normann hasn't been involved in a Premier League win since November.
Kenny McLean (CM) - No player has played more minutes since Smith's arrival than the Scotland international.
3. Forwards
Josh Sargent (RW) - The US international scored ten minutes after his substitution as a Werder Bremen player against RB Leipzig when Leeds United's current boss, Jesse Marsch, was assistant manager there in 2018.
Teemu Pukki (ST) - No Premier League side is anywhere near as reliant upon one scorer as Norwich and Pukki - the Finn has plundered 47% of the club's top-flight goals this term.
Milot Rashica (LW) - Across 71 appearances alongside one another, Rashica and Sargent have both scored in the same game once (6-1 win for Werder Bremen over FC Koln in 2020).
