Man City put on a real Champions League show last week against Sevilla, and they will be keen to back that up with a home win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

It will be City’s first outing since that 4-0 win in Spain with the intervening Premier League match postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Pep Guardiola is not short of options, but you would expect him to keep changes to a minimum.

GK: Ederson – Ederson will doubtlessly continue between the sticks for City in this one and few, if any, will have any concerns about it.

RB: Joao Cancelo – Cancelo wasn't really required to break sweat last week in Sevilla, so he should be fit and fresh for this one.

CB: Manuel Akanji – Another ex-Dortmund man. He is in line for a home debut and, surely, a much bigger test than Sevilla gave him.

CB: Ruben Dias – Dias is one of the first names on the team sheet when City have other fit centre-backs, never mind when they don't.

LB: Sergio Gomez – Gomez never got much of a chance when he played for Dortmund, so he'll be itching to show them what they missed.

DM: Rodri – City are awash with attacking players and Rodri is the one that gives them licence to play.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan – Yet another of City's ex-Dortmund contingent and a vital cog in the Pep midfield machine.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne – He's Kevin De Bruyne. He's playing.

RF: Bernardo Silva – The Swiss army knife in Pep’s pocket of plans. He'll play, it's just a question of where.

LF: Jack Grealish – As easy it is to criticise Jack Grealish, it's even easier for Pep to replace him. He probably won't, though.

CF: Erling Haaland – It’s not really a case of wondering if Haaland will play, is it? At the moment it’s more of case of how many goals will he score when he does
