Man Utd offer update on Victor Lindelof after health scare

Manchester United have reassured fans that centre-back Victor Lindelof is doing fine after suffering a health scare in Saturday's 1-0 win over Norwich.
Lindelof left the game with 15 minutes to go after visibly struggling to breathe following a collision, with goalkeeper David de Gea admitting he was scared for the health of his team-mate.
With United dealing with a serious Covid-19 outbreak in the days that followed, many assumed that Lindelof's breathing difficulties were related to the virus, but United stressed in a statement that they do not believe that to be the case.
"Victor is currently undergoing a series of precautionary investigations," the club said in a statement. "However, he has recovered well from the episode he experienced in the match against Norwich.
"All indications are that this is not linked to any COVID outbreak within the club."
United's meeting with Brentford on Tuesday was cancelled shortly before midnight on Monday after the Old Trafford side recorded a number of positive PCR rests among players and staff.
They had initially planned to try and play the game, hoping that they could contain the outbreak, but the numbers continued to rack up and the decision was eventually made to postpone the game and protect those involved.
As of yet, no date has been set for the rearranged fixture.
United became the latest side to deal with a Covid-19 outbreak, following the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa and Brighton.
Spurs saw their meeting with Brighton postponed at the weekend, with the Seagulls' outbreak coming after that announcement.
