Manchester City's immense quality is clear for all to see as Pep Guardiola's team continue to beat every team put in front of them and more of the same is expected on Saturday when they host Nottingham Forest.

Despite dealing with an extensive injury list, the Cityzens have won all five of their Premier League games so far and also got off to a winning start in the Champions League by coming from behind against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night.

Here is the XI Pep Guardiola may choose to secure victory for Man City in the Premier League against Forest on Saturday afternoon at the Etihad.

GK: Ederson - There's no way Ederson is getting dropped in the Premier League, having also retained his spot in the Champions League to Stefan Ortega's disappointment.

RB: Kyle Walker - Guardiola trusts Walker's endless pace and fitness and will likely start the England defender again after he played 90 minutes against Red Star.

CB: Manuel Akanji - With Nathan Ake playing the whole Red Star game, expect Akanji to come back into the starting XI for this Premier League clash.

CB: Ruben Dias - Cemented as one of the best defenders in the world - if not the very best - Dias will be marshalling his backline through this game against some talented attacking players.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - Gvardiol was rested against Red Star so should return to the starting XI at left-back as he did against West Ham last weekend.

CM: Rodri - Possibly the most reliable player in the team, Rodri chipped in with another goal against Red Star and will be pulling the strings on Saturday.

CM: Matheus Nunes - After impressing in this role against Red Star and with Bernardo Silva out, former Wolves man Nunes is expected to hold his place.

RW: Phil Foden - This could be Foden's spot for quite a long time now given there are injuries to other attacking players. He remains a threat anywhere across the front four, however.

AM: Julian Alvarez - The 2022/23 quadruple winner is getting consistent starts behind Erling Haaland due to injuries elsewhere and will look to build on his two midweek goals.

LW: Jeremy Doku - He was benched in midweek but there is little else in the way of options and Doku has made a promising start to life in Manchester.

ST: Erling Haaland - Haaland just played 90 minutes in the Champions League without scoring, leaving Forest at the mercy of an angry Norwegian striker looking for a team to take his frustrations out on. Netted a hat-trick in this fixture last season.
