As the plump, well-supported and often overconfident clubs of England's top two tiers grace the FA Cup with their presence, results from the third round of the world's oldest cup competition are invariably some of the most eye-catching of the season.

2022/23 has proven no different to past years of upsets and thrillers, with teams littered across the footballing pyramid duking it out for a spot in the next round of this historic competition.

Here are the victors bound for a spot in the fourth round, just four wins away from the final.


What teams are through to the FA Cup fourth round?

The following teams won their FA Cup third-round matches and are through to the fourth round:

Manchester United, Leicester City, Preston, Reading, Tottenham, Southampton, Brighton, Fleetwood Town, Sheffield United, Blackpool, Burnley, Fulham, Sunderland, Ipswich Town, West Ham, Grimsby Town, Wrexham, Sheffield Wednesday.

The following games were drawn and will be replayed in mid-January at the opposite stadiums:

FA Cup 2022/23 third round results

Top six sides Manchester United and Tottenham have booked their spots in the fourth round thanks to wins earlier in the third round. Liverpool were taken to a replay by Wolves, while Manchester City and Chelsea provide an early blockbuster clash later on Sunday.

Current Premier League leaders Arsenal play the final game of the round on Monday night when they visit third tier Oxford United.
