Tottenham Hotspur have seen a £20m bid for Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly rejected, 90min understands.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new centre-back before the transfer window closes later on Friday, having already added Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg to bolster at the back.

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo remains a target for Spurs, who offered to send Eric Dier to Craven Cottage in exchange, but little progress has been made in pursuit of the 25-year-old, who is pushing to join Monaco instead.

As a result, Spurs have begun searching elsewhere and sources have confirmed to 90min that a £20m offer for Kelly has been knocked back.

Bournemouth want more money to part ways with the 24-year-old and have raised their asking price further given the limited time available to them to find a replacement.

The Cherries have just four senior centre-backs available to them after loaning James Hill to Blackburn Rovers and will not sign off on Kelly's departure without finding a replacement first, which appears unlikely heading into the final stretch of the window.

Whether Spurs reignite their pursuit of either player remains to be seen. Decisions also have to be made on potential departures, with Davinson Sanchez available for transfer. Galatasaray have been keen on the Colombia international, who was also the subject of a rejected bid from Rennes.

Postecoglou is also looking to sign a new striker before the deadline and Spurs have been talking to Gent over emerging star Gift Orban.

With the money raised from Harry Kane's £86.4m sale to Bayern Munich burning a hole in their pockets, Spurs are hunting for a new striker and, alongside Orban, have also seen an enquiry for Brighton & Hove Albion's Evan Ferguson knocked back.

Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson has emerged as the club's top attacking target and 90min understands there is growing confidence that a deal can be struck for the £50m-rated star.
