Leicester City coach Kolo Toure is 'urging' manager Brendan Rodgers to sign Celtic's teenager Tsoanelo Letsosa, with the Foxes showing a strong interest in the player.

The 16-year-old has attracted attention from numerous clubs as a result of his progression in the Hoops' academy. Most recently, he shone in the Victory Shield tournament, where he put in a man-of-the-match display, scoring once to help Scotland's Under-16s share the title with Wales.

Football Insider are now reporting that over 60 scouts from clubs across the globe attended the recent tournament. As a result of his fine performances, Celtic now face a 'major battle' to keep hold of the talented teenager.

The report further mentions that Leicester are one of the leading clubs with a 'strong interest' in the player. While the Foxes are reportedly keen, it is Toure who is particularly impressed by Letsosa and has made Rodgers aware of the talents of the youngster. It is worth noting, however, that Letsosa cannot sign a professional contract until he turns 17.

90min has recently learned that Rodgers will look to prise away another talented youngster from his old club in January, with the 46-year-old keen on Norwegian defender Kristoffer Ajer.

The Foxes are ready to make a move when the winter window opens and believe that they can land the rising star for less than £20m, and it is noted that the former Liverpool boss has actually wanted to land the centre-back ever since he arrived at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester have made a highly impressive start to the 2019/20 campaign, currently finding themselves sat second in the table, one point ahead of reigning champions Manchester City in third.

The latest developments indicate that Rodgers may turn to his former club in January, with the hope of prising away potentially both Ajer and Letsosa.
