Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly loves splashing his cash on players, and he doesn't mind appointing a manager or two either.

Enzo Maresca has become Chelsea's fourth manager of the BlueCo era following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, and the Italian's five-year contract suggests the Blues are ready to dig in for the long haul with the former Leicester boss, who guided the Foxes to the Championship title last season.

Chelsea have emerged as transfer window protagonists since Boehly's arrival in 2022, and that tag certainly hasn't disappeared this summer with Maresca's new regime set to come under heavy scrutiny. In fact, they have been incredibly active in the market with a number of additions.

Here's everything you need to know about the Blues' summer window.

Positions Chelsea need to strengthen this summer

Nicolas Jackson undoubtedly showed promise in year one having signed from Villarreal last summer, but Chelsea could re-enter the striker market with Jackson potentially shifting out wide. However, time is running out to sign a sparkly new number nine.

Chelsea have also bought their fair share of centre-backs since Boehly came to town, but the departure of veteran Thiago Silva has left a gaping void. A replacement has already been signed this summer.

There could be a reshuffle at full-back with Ben Chilwell not a part of the manager's plans, and while Maresca is said to be an admirer of Robert Sanchez, Chelsea have signed another goalkeeper this summer.

Chelsea made Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo their first signing of the Maresca era. The west Londoners swooped under the noses of several Premier League rivals to bring in the towering defender on a free transfer.

Their activity hasn't stopped there, with the additions of youngster Omari Kellyman for £19m from Aston Villa and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for £30m from Leicester - the latter having performed brilliantly under Maresca last season. The versatile youngster Renato Veiga has also been added to the roster, as have Atlanta United defender Caleb Wiley. Former Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen could be the club's next number one.

A myriad of options have been considered up top, and the club believed the opportunity to sign Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu for a bargain price was too good to turn down. It remains to be seen whether the Blues will re-enter the market for a big-money addition.

Victor Osimhen remains a name to keep an eye on after a deal for Atletico Madrid's Samu Omorodion collapsed, while Ivan Toney could be added to a bloated squad before the window shuts

The Blues have signed 17-year-old Palmeiras sensation Estevao Willian, but the teenager won't join up with the Blues until he turns 18. After missing out on Michael Olise earlier in the window, Chelsea swooped to acquire Wolves' Pedro Neto in a £54m deal and have reunited with Joao Felix.

Who Chelsea could sell this summer

A big factor in Pochettino's departure was believed to surround the club's desire to sell two of their homegrown stars.

Trevoh Chalobah is one of several senior stars to be frozen out by Maresca, while the club were happy to let England international Conor Gallagher join Atletico Madrid.

The arrival of another striker will allow Armando Broja to move on. The Albanian international endured a tough 2023/24 campaign, barely featuring for Fulham during his loan spell. Chelsea value Broja at around £30m.

The high-earning Romelu Lukaku will also be sold. Antonio Conte's Napoli are in for the Belgian, who earns £340,000-a-week in west London, and Chelsea could use him as part of a deal for Osimhen. Raheem Sterling is also on the hunt for a new club, while Kepa Arizzabalaga has joined Bournemouth on loan.

The Blues have also parted ways with several players this summer. Youngster Michael Golding has joined Leicester for £5m, Hakim Ziyech has made his move to Galatasaray permanent and Ian Maatsen has made a £37.5m switch to Aston Villa. Omari Hutchinson has swapped Chelsea for Ipswich Town on a full-time basis following his incredibly fruitful loan spell there last term, while Diego Moreira and Mason Burstow have joined Strasbourg and Hull respectively. Lesley Ugochukwu will remain in the Premier League after signing for Southampton on loan.

Malang Sarr's contract has been terminated by mutual consent and he has teamed up with RC Lens.
