Women's Euro 2022 ticket prices confirmed from just £5

Women’s Euro 2022 tickets for the tournament in England next summer will be available from a starting price of just £5, with the FA determined to make the games as accessible as possible.

There will be more than 700,000 tickets available in total across the 10 venues, which include Old Trafford for the opening game and Wembley for the final, and the FA is targeting full stadiums to further accelerate the growth of the women’s game.

More than half a million Euro 2022 tickets will be made available for £25 or less and a family of four (two adults and two children) could attend a game for £30, making the tournament extremely affordable. It is also estimated that 90% of the population in England is within two hours of a venue.

The cheapest tickets group games not involving England and the quarter-finals are just £5 for children (under-16), with adult tickets for those games priced at £10.

England’s group games, which begin at Old Trafford and move to Southampton or Brighton, start at £15 for adults and £7.50 for children, up to a maximum of £40 depending on the seats that are chosen.

Tickets for the final at Wembley on 31 July 2022 start at £15 for adults and £7.50, up to £50.

The first opportunity to buy tickets will be a pre-sale event from 13 July 2021, with fans already able to register interest and gain access to it at UEFA.com/womenseuro/ticketing.

There will be further chance to buy tickets at a fan ballot that will take place in October after the final tournament draw, by which time it will be known which countries are playing at which venues. Tickets will later also go on general sale from around February time, with match tickets at all price points to be available at every stage of the ticketing process to ensure that nobody misses out.

With full stadiums the ambition – although there is a robust refund policy in place should the coronavirus situation still be wreaking havoc by 2022 – the FA wants to ensure that a legacy programme is in place to engage with women and girls who are inspired by the tournament.

Across the nine host areas (London, Manchester, Trafford, Leigh, Southampton, Brighton, Sheffield, Rotherham, Milton Keynes), there are plans to deliver 500,000 new football opportunities for women and girls by 2024. Measures will result in 120,000 more girls playing football in schools and clubs, with 20,000 more women playing for fun and friendship by 2024.

“The long-term legacy ambitions will unlock the game for more women and girls across host cities and beyond with equal access for all girls to play football in school and clubs,” said Baroness Sue Campbell, FA director of women’s football.

“We will also be working to create a more diverse workforce of coaches, referees and local leaders to deliver and organise football for their communities. Our vision will ensure inclusive, safe and welcoming environments for every woman and girl to play competitive or recreational grassroots football - irrespective of ability, age or ambition.”
