Wolves predicted lineup vs Arsenal - Premier League
Wolves travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal on Thursday, who they currently trail in the Premier League table by just two points.
Bruno Lage's side have been in good form since the turn of the year and they come into this one off the back of two successive Premier League victories. However, last time Wolves played the Gunners a fortnight ago, they lost 1-0 despite having a one-man advantage for much of the game.
Here is the starting XI Lage seems most likely to select as they look to avoid the same thing happening again...
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Jose Sa (GK) - Wolves' defensive record would not be as good without the stoic Sa. He has registered the fourth most saves per match in the Premier League this season.
Max Kilman (CB) - Linked with Chelsea and Manchester United recently and it's easy to see why. Such a classy, modern defender.
Conor Coady (CB) - Coady's incredible leadership and organisational skills is a big reason why Wolves are conceding just 0.8 goals per game this season.
Romain Saiss (CB) - Only Newcastle's Jamaal Lascelles has averaged more clearances per match than Saiss' 5.3 this season (via fotmob).
2. Wing-backs & midfielders
Nelson Semedo (RWB) - Capable in both directions, Semedo has proved to be a shrewd addition to the Wolves ranks.
Leander Dendoncker (CM) - Wolves' least heralded centre-midfielder, which is perhaps a bit unfair as he gets through a hell of a lot of work for the team.
Ruben Neves (CM) - Ruben Neves is a bit like Paul Scholes. Mustard on the ball, but perhaps not the best tackler. No player has more than his nine Premier League yellow cards this term.
Joao Moutinho (CM) - A contender for last month's player of the month award, he's been in good form in February too.
Rayan Ait-Nouri (LWB) - Picked up a slight knock against Leicester but he should be okay here. Marcal can deputised if required.
3. Forwards
Raul Jimenez (ST) - Set up Wolves' first goal against Leicester with a textbook piece of centre-forward hold-up play.
Daniel Podence (ST) - Grabbed a rare goal last time out, and what a strike it was. His position could be under threat with Pedro Neto back in the fold.
