The USMNT triumphed 3-0 against Honduras to clinch three points and become one step closer to qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. The American side maintained their second place stance on the Concacaf table with 21 points in 11 games.

An Early goal by Weston McKennieoff of a Kellyn Acosta set piece gave the American side the lead in the 8th minute of the match. The Juventus midfielder beat the first man to the ball, heading it past Luis López and into the upper right corner.

The United States managed to double the score minutes later with yet another strategic set piece by the LAFC midfielder. Acosta curved the ball into the box to find captain Walker Zimmerman, who spun into position before finding the back of the net.

The American side consistently dominated the match completely, recording 75 percent possession and 16 overall shots.

The home side maintained a comfortable attacking rhythm before Berhalter made the necessary substitutions to maximize their potential on the pitch. Christian Pulisic entered the game for Jordan Morris, hitting the ground running. The Chelsea forward only needed two minutes before working off Zimmerman to find the third goal.

The American team concluded the January/February international window with two victories and one loss.
