Ukraine predicted lineup vs England - Euro 2020

Ukraine will take on England in the last quarter-final of Euro 2020 on Saturday night, battling for a place in the tournament's last four in Rome.

The Three Lions booked their place in the meeting with an historic 2-0 win over Germany at Wembley, beating Die Mannschaft in a major tournament knockout game for the first time since 1966. Gareth Southgate's side have shown great metal in the competition thus far, remaining the only team to not have conceded a goal.

Ukraine have reached this stage of the competition in slightly more dramatic fashion. Andriy Shevchenko's side scraped through to the knockout stage as a third-placed team, before beating Sweden in the round of 16 courtesy of Artem Dovbyk's header in the final minute of extra time, sealing a famous 2-1 win.

They face a very tough prospect in the last eight, and this is the side that could start the game on Saturday.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

George Buschan (GK) - Has let six goals in at Euro 2020 thus far but has mostly looked alert and commanding between the sticks. Will definitely keep his place.

Ilya Zabarnyi (CB) - Shevchenko could continue with three at the back, which would mean another appearance on the right of the backline for 18-year old Zabarnyi. Fantastically composed and aware of what's going on around him - one for the future.

Sergiy Kryvtsov (CB) - Not so fresh-faced, but was a real leader at the heart of defence against Sweden. Should continue in the lineup to sure things up against England's attack.

Mykola Matviyenko (CB) - A tough defender to get the better of with his pace and ability to read the game. He may be in for a tough time against England's fluid attack, but he'll back himself nonetheless.

2. Wing-Backs & Midfielders

Oleksandr Karavaev (RWB) - Crucial to Ukraine's attack in this system. Played a large part in their first goal against Sweden and will be key against England too.

Serhiy Sydorchuk (CM) - A good screen to the backline and able to bring possession out of deep areas with composure - key to Shevchenko's side.

Taras Stepanenko (CM) - One of the most senior players in the squad, Stepanenko proved to be an assured presence under pressure last time out - should definitely retain his spot in midfield.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LWB) - Was fantastic against Sweden, contributing hugely at both ends of the pitch. One of Ukraine's biggest threats and already a senior presence at just 24.

3. Forwards

Andriy Yarmolenko (RW) - The main danger man in the side. Unpredictable, direct and a menace to track in the final third, he's a different beast on international duty and will go looking for his 43rd Ukraine goal on Saturday - he's only six behind all-time top scorer and current boss Shevchenko.

Roman Yaremchuk (ST) - A handful for central defenders and has demonstrated throughout the tournament how excellent his link-up play is.

Mykola Shaparenko (LW) - Another bright young prospect in this squad, Shaparenko will float around and aim to find pockets of space between the lines. His vision is terrific and he's capable picking apart a defence with one pass. England's midfield will have to be wary.
