He wrote: "They were seven wonderful years, In August 2013 when I received the offer from Chelsea, I was convinced this was where I had to play. Today I am certain that it was the best of decisions. There were so many happy times, some sad, there were trophies and it was always very intense.

Having played under Frank Lampard on loan at Derby in 2018/19, Fikayo Tomori looked as though he could be set for a long-term role back at Chelsea when he was drafted in as a starter a few games into this season. But then he barely featured in the second half of the season.
Now, The Athletic reports that talks are underway about sending him back out on loan, this time to French club Rennes. But there are other clubs in England who are interested in the 22-year-old, while Chelsea are yet to make a decision either way at this point in time.
Chelsea have also considered offering Tomori to West Ham to sweeten an offer for Declan Rice.

Fiorentina are also linked, but Milan are considered the ‘more likely destination’.
Willian Move to Arsenal Now ‘Close’
Leaving Chelsea will not see Willian leave London, the city he had made into a second home since first arriving in 2013. Sky Sports now describe his proposed free transfer to Arsenal as ‘close’ to completion, with the Gunners having offered a three-year deal earlier this week.
That is a significant show of faith in a player who turns 32 on Sunday.
Sky explain that in addition to the length of the contract, Willian will choose Arsenal ahead of Barcelona or Inter Miami because of the rejuvenation Mikel Arteta has overseen, as well as the opportunity to work under technical director and fellow countryman Edu.
Flick Understands Why Thiago Wants to Leave Bayern

There are eight other players the Gunners also ideally want rid of before the start of next season, with sales important to raise transfer funds that are otherwise lacking.
It's Not Over Yet For Lautaro and Barcelona
Lautaro Martinez's chances of moving to Barcelona seemed to be over after Josep Maria Bartomeu poured ice on the deal in July.

In short, it looks like the move is back on. For more detail check out the full story here.
David Silva Edges Closer to Serie A Move
It's going to be strange adjusting to a world in which David Silva is not lighting up the Premier League each week but if we could choose for him to go anywhere, Lazio would be high on our list.
Simone Inzaghi's side are one of the most exciting teams in Europe and they could become even more appealing next season as a move for Silva edges closer to completion.
Sky Sports Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio reports that negotiations are "continuing along with positive signals," which all sounds rather promising.

Whether any Premier League or second tier sides bite for that price remains to be seen.

Liverpool may currently be champions of England, Europe and the World, but that does not mean they will get it all their own way in the transfer market this summer.

Steven Sessegnon could be reunited with his older brother Ryan if Fulham get their way in the upcoming transfer window.
According to the Telegraph, Sessegnon senior may rejoin his former club on loan although Tottenham would prefer he remain in north London. Surely José Mourinho isn't evil enough to keep the two brother apart just to play Ryan in a few Carabao Cup games?
No, wait. He definitely is actually.
United Line Up Sancho Alternative?
Look, obviously Manchester United are going to end up signing Jadon Sancho but just in case the deal does somehow fall apart it's good that the Red Devils are lining up some alternatives.
One such player could be Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa. According to Italian outlet La Nazione, the 22-year-old is subject to a €55m bid from United. How reliable is this information? Not particularly considering I'd never heard of the newspaper until about 30 seconds ago.

Bayern Munich Attempts to Sign Kubo Rebuffed
Bayern Munich's attempts to sign Real Madrid wonderkid Takefusa Kubo on loan are set to be unsuccessful, according to AS (via Daily Mail).
The Japanese superstar impressed during a spell at Mallorca last season, so much so in fact that Die Roten were interested in signing him. However, Los Blancos have rebuffed their approach with Villarreal believed to be leading the race for his signature.
Why Bayern even wanted to develop a player for one of their European rivals in the first place is beyond us...
Wat a Signing This Could Be For Villa
Aston Villa lacked striking options last season, particularly after record signing Wesley was struck down with injury.

Eagles Ready to Swoop for Ryan Fraser
Has there ever been a stronger case of a player believing their own hype than Ryan Fraser. After a breakout 2018/2019 campaign, the Scot registered just five goal involvments for Bournemouth last season and refused to sign a short term contract extension to help the Cherries stave off relegation.
Despite his meagre statistical return, Crystal Palace are interested in signing the winger according to the Daily Mail. Fraser is set to double his money to £50,000-per-week if the deal goes ahead.
Branislav Ivanovic Set for Premier League Return?
Now, this is a transfer rumour we can get behind.

Would this be a disaster? Probably. Would it still be really fun? Certainly. Let's get it done Tony Khan!
Chelsea Eyeing Up Slam-Dunk of a Deal
Good headline that.
According to the Brighton & Hove Independent, Chelsea are considering a move for Seagulls stalwart Lewis Dunk. The centre-back is likely to cost in excess of £30m with Leicester and Arsenal also being linked in the past.
The Blues are in dire need of defensive reinforcements as their embarrassing rearguard performance in the FA Cup showed but is 28-year-old Dunk really the man they need?
Arsenal to Rival Manchester United for Defender
Earlier this week it was reported that Manchester United have held talks with the agent of Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes ahead of a potential move.
The Brazilian seems to fit the United mould. He's young, a left footed centre-back and the £30m fee is affordable. However, every top half Premier League side under the sun has been linked with the 22-year-old at some point with Arsenal the latest suitors.
French outlet France Bleu Nord (via Express) claim the Gunners are close to concluding a deal for the player. If it sounds too good to be true, that's because it probably is. Sorry Arsenal fans.
Anyone who wants to know more about Magalhaes, this article is a good place to start.

Stay with us on this one, because it sounds a little bit ridiculous. Willian's move to Arsenal appears to have been confirmed by a leaked video of the new PES game.
The clip can be viewed on the Sun's website and it clearly shows an avatar of Willian strutting about in the Gunners new kit for the 2020/2021 season. The Brazilian recently rejected a new deal at Chelsea and his Arsenal move now seems likely to be confirmed imminently.
Arsenal Given Boost in Pursuit of Benrahma?
Look, we're sorry to remind you about that diabolical playoff final last night, but Fulham's victory over Brentford could have significant implications in the transfer market.
The Bees' star man Said Benrahma is now likely to depart Griffin Park - sorry, the Brentford Community Stadium - with Premier League interest intensifying.
Arsenal are one of the club's linked with a move and the Algerian gave the Gunners a boost after he liked a tweet from a fan who argued the winger would be a good fit in north London (via football.london). After sending social media into meltdown, Benrahma swiftly unliked the post. Stop playing with our hearts bro.
