After both teams saw their league matches fall foul to the weather over the weekend, Tottenham and Chelsea are back in action on Wednesday evening for the Continental Cup quarter-finals.

Last year's defeated finalists Chelsea are vying to wrestle back the Continental Cup title as they attempt to win the competition for a third time in four years, and they face a Spurs side who were beaten semi-finalists last season.

A London derby featuring a couple of former Chelsea fan favourites now lining up in the white of Tottenham? Wednesday evening should be a good one.

Tottenham vs Chelsea score prediction

After enjoying their best ever WSL finish last term, Tottenham haven't quite hit the same heights this season. Rehanne Skinner's side pushed the Blues really close in a pair of league fixtures towards the backend of the 2021/22 campaign and were unfortunate to come away with nothing, but were comfortably beaten at Stamford Bridge this season.

Chelsea underwhelmed in their first outing of 2023, needing a last gasp Sam Kerr equaliser to rescue a point against Arsenal. They will be expected to improve on Wednesday and make lighter work of Tottenham.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-3 Chelsea
