Tottenham have finalised a deal to make Antonio Conte their new head coach, with the Italian expected to lead training on Tuesday afternoon.

Spurs parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday in the wake of their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, after which sights were immediately set on Conte, who had pulled out of talks with the club during the summer.

However, this time around, there has been no such hesitance and sources have confirmed to 90min that a total agreement has been reached with Conte, who will sign an 18-month contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday.

The boss has been pencilled in to meet his squad later in the day, with players already briefed to expect Conte's arrival.

As revealed by 90min, the 18-month contract also includes a number of options and break clauses, with Conte keen to protect himself if he believes Spurs renege on their promises to him - as he did with Inter during the summer.

Spurs have agreed to Conte's terms in the hope that the Italian will agree to a new contract at the end of the season, assuming he can guide the club back to the top four or at least make a noticeable improvement on the pitch.

During his first meeting with Spurs during the summer, Conte made it clear that he would be interested in working at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but only if those in charge were 100% supportive of him and his methods.

Why those negotiations eventually broke down remains unclear, but whatever problem arose has not surfaced this time around and Conte, who is already in England, is ready to put pen to paper on a contract.

Conte's first game in charge will be on Thursday, when Spurs host Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League.
