Tottenham Hotspur face off against Sporting CP on matchday five of the Champions League group stage.

Spurs will secure their passage to the knockout stages with victory against their Portuguese opponents, but will have to perform at a higher level than they did in the reverse fixture.

Sporting prevailed 2-0 in Lisbon on matchday two but followed that with successive defeats to Marseille to ensure Group D remains wide open.

Here's how Antonio Conte could set his side out on Wednesday night.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Sporting CP - Champions League

1. Tottenham Hotspur (3-5-2)

GK: Hugo Lloris - Saved Spurs' skins against Manchester United before dropping a stinker against Newcastle. A busy week for the club captain.

CB: Davinson Sanchez - Cristian Romero isn't likely to be rushed back into the side, so the Colombian will continue in his absence.

CB: Eric Dier - His form has noticeably dipped since being recalled to the England squad last month. Has work to do to book his spot for the World Cup.

CB: Clement Lenglet - Didn't cover himself in glory at the weekend but Tottenham need the Frenchman to effectively progress the ball from the back.

RWB: Emerson Royal - Somehow a favourite of Conte's, Emerson will play pretty much every game he's available for.

CM: Oliver Skipp - One of the few positives from the Newcastle loss was Skipp's sharpness on his first competitive start since January.

CM: Yves Bissouma - Should retain his place with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg expected to be unavailable.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur - If anyone is going to dance their way through such a technically gifted Sporting side, it's the lanky Uruguayan.

LWB: Ivan Perisic - Started his Spurs career well but has since struggled following an injury. Ryan Sessegnon's clanger at the weekend means he should return here.

CF: Harry Kane - With 11 goals in 16 appearances so far this season, Kane's fast start has gone rather unnoticed due to a certain Norwegian scoring machine.

CF: Son Heung-min - The holder of the Premier League Golden Boot has scored in just two games for Spurs this term.
