Tottenham will look to earn a first win over Liverpool since 2017 when the two sides meet in the Premier League's late kick-off on Saturday.

Spurs have been buoyed by the arrival of new manager Ange Postecoglou and taken 14 points from their opening six games, most recently earning a draw against north London derby rivals Arsenal thanks to a brace from Son Heung-min.

Postecoglou is tasked with ending a run of 12 winless fixtures against Jurgen Klopp's side, who have won their last seven games in all competitions after a draw at Chelsea on the opening day of the season.

Here's the side Tottenham could deploy to put an end to that barren run.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Liverpool (4-2-3-1)

GK: Guglielmo Vicario - Made a couple of sharp reflex saves to stop Arsenal taking a dominant lead in the north London derby.

RB: Pedro Porro - Came into the starting XI after the opening weekend draw at Brentford and has made the right-back spot his own ahead of Emerson Royal with some bright attacking displays.

CB: Cristian Romero - Had a north London derby to forget by scoring an own goal and conceding a penalty. Must be sharper in the face of similarly electric attackers.

CB: Micky van de Ven - Impressed at the Emirates with his recovery pace and sound judgement, a well-time slide tackle on Eddie Nketiah one particular highlight.

LB: Destiny Udogie - Managed to come through his clash with Bukayo Saka unscathed despite an early yellow. The young Italian's next opponent? Mohamed Salah.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr - Didn't have his shooting boots on during Sunday's game but his cross which was flapped at by David Raya eventually led to Son's first.

CM: Yves Bissouma - Spurs have been crying out for a controlling presence in midfield for a good few years and Bissouma is showing he's the player for the job, having been criminally underused by Antonio Conte last year.

RW: Dejan Kulusevski - One of three Spurs players currently sat on two league goals so far this campaign alongside Romero and Maddison.

AM: James Maddison - Has taken a few knocks during the opening months of the season but is yet to miss a game and averages a goal contribution each league match so far (two goals and four assists).

LW: Manor Solomon - With Brennan Johnson's fitness still to be assessed after the Welshman suffered a hamstring injury at Arsenal, Israel international Solomon could return to the XI for his third league start of the season.

ST: Son Heung-min - The South Korean was part of the last Tottenham team to beat Liverpool - scoring in a 4-1 win at Wembley in 2017 - but has still netted four goals in his last five games against the Reds.
