Nuno Espirito Santo insisted he is 'not worried' about criticisms of his Spurs team after a run of three successive Premier League losses.

Tottenham were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal in the north London derby on Sunday, and were three goals down by half-time in a one-sided affair at the Emirates Stadium.

This followed back-to-back 3-0 defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea, and while Nuno understands why he and his players are being criticised, he is aiming to block out the bad noise and focus on improving results and performances.

"The criticism is normal," Nuno admitted ahead of Spurs' Europa Conference League game with Mura. "When you don't play good, when you don't perform and results don't go along, criticism is something that you have to deal with. We understand it and it's up to us to react and to change it.

"I'm not worried about judgement. What I'm worried about is how can we play better. Judgement and criticisms and opinions is part of it, we have to deal with that. That doesn't interfere with the way we work, it can only distract us. I'm very simply telling you that my focus is how can we improve. In terms of the fans, now is not the moment to ask them [about performances].

"We need them [the fans], we need their support because the players and the team needs them but it's not the moment to ask them, it's the moment for [the team] to deliver. Now we have to give it to them so they feel good with the team, they see a team that is solid and playing good."

Spurs' troubles were then compared to the ongoing fuel crisis in the UK (seriously), but Nuno was adamant that a tough run of games is normal for every team in football and Tottenham are remaining calm.

"We don't panic," Nuno said. "We don't panic because we know - at least I know - that this is football. It's how you react to the bad moments because it's something you cannot avoid. If you go through history, every team goes through a moment like this. The sooner we get out of it, the better, and tomorrow we have to get out.

"We have to win, we have to play better, we have to compete better. But sticking together is the only way to do it."
