If Belarusian and South Korean football don't quite do it for you, then perhaps a dose of Bundesliga action might satisfy your pampered palate.

Truth be told, the other two leagues were never going to do, were they? So when the German government gave football the all-clear to resume later in May, there was a collective cheer heard from across Europe (and beyond) that our painstakingly long withdrawal from top level football is finally coming to an end.

And if you haven't already decided which club you're going to support when the Bundesliga returns (here's a handy guide to help you out with that) then what about keeping an eye on the British players who are plying their trade over in Germany?

Beyond the obvious answer, there are a few more, so let's take a look at who will be in action when it all kicks off again later this month.

Keanan Bennetts - Borussia Monchengladbach

Not a household name to those outside of Tottenham, Keanan Bennetts hails from London but actually has a German mother, meaning his perfect grasp of the local language has made his move to Monchengladbach a smoother transition.

A forward who can play anywhere behind the striker, he's struggled to break into the senior squad and instead has featured for Borussia Monchengladbach II in the Regionalliga West, but you never know, he might have impressed enough to earn a look-in in the final games of the season...

Lewis Baker - Fortuna Dusseldorf

It's become exceedingly hard to keep track of all the Chelsea players out on loan, but one of the better known players to gain experience outside of Stamford Bridge is midfielder Lewis Baker. He's been on the books at the Blues since 2014, and his current spell in the Bundesliga is his seventh loan stint during that time.

He's yet to get on the scoresheet with his temporary employers, but has made nine appearances to date. If he continues to impress then his loan deal contains an option to buy.

His challenge will be to help his side push up the table from their 16th place position at present.

Rabbi Matondo & Jonjoe Kenny - Schalke 04

Snapped up by the German side from Manchester City's academy in January 2019, there were big things expected of Welsh winger Rabbi Matondo when Schalke splashed out £11m to secure his signature.

He's made 12 top flight outings this season, scoring his first goal for the club in an impressive 3-1 win away at RB Leipzig last September. At still only 19 years old there is plenty of room for improvement, by Matondo has still taking his chances when they've come as he battles to earn a regular starting berth in the side.

For Jonjoe Kenny, he found usurping Seamus Coleman too tough to manage and, along with the addition of Djibril Sidibe at Everton in the summer, needed to look elsewhere for playing time.

A loan move to Schalke came to fruition last July, and he's been a regular for the side, making 23 outings, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

Reece Oxford - Augsburg

After impressing for West Ham on his debut against Arsenal at just 16, big things were expected of Reece Oxford on English shores. Now 21, he's had loan spells at Reading, Monchengladbach and Augsburg, before signing permanently for the Fuggerstädter last summer.

After starting regularly for the beginning of the 2019/20 season, his importance to the side has deteriorated rapidly, failing to make an appearance in the last 15 league matches - 11 of those occasions not featuring in the squad at all.

There is still time for a resurgence, but it will require some hard work on the training pitch.

Ademola Lookman & Ethan Ampadu- RB Leipzig

After making the jump up to the Premier League with his move to Everton in 2017, Ademola Lookman's goals dried up. The winger scored just four goals in his 48 outings for the Toffees, prompting a loan move to RB Leipzig during the 2017/18 campaign. He impressed hugely with five goals in 11 matches, but was unable to replicate that upon returning to Goodison Park.

The German club opted to resign Lookman permanently last summer, although he now often finds himself coming on as an impact substitute. He's manged eight appearances this season, but will surely have a role to play when the campaign resumes as Die Roten Bullen chase the league title.

Since his season-long loan switch from Chelsea last summer, Ethan Ampadu has struggled to nail down a starting berth, but has still managed seven appearances across all campaigns. His most impressive outing came during a Champions League tie away at Tottenham, where he helped record his side a clean sheet.

Jadon Sancho - Borussia Dortmund

The pièce de résistance of British footballers in the Bundesliga is, undoubtedly, the player all British eyes will be on when the season resumes. Although, in actuality, everyone's eyes are firmly fixed on Jadon Sancho, simply because he's one of the outstanding talents in world football at the moment.

His outrageous stats speak for themselves, as this season alone he's notched 14 goals and 16 assists in just 23 Bundesliga outings, a remarkable number for a player who only just recently turned 20 years old.

Dortmund have an immense talent on their hands (for now) and if they are to claim the league title this season then it won't be without the contribution of their superstar Englishman
