Major League Soccer's matchday 11 did not disappoint.

Players stunned across both conferences to make this week's ranking of the best goals an interesting one. In the East, Josef Martinez made history by scoring his 100th goal against none other than his former club Atlanta United, while Lucho Acosta made himself known against his former club D.C. United. In the West, Claudio Bravo showed up vs. Austin FC.

Here's everything you missed...

5. Alvaro Barreal (vs. D.C. United)

To kick off, we have Alvaro Barreal against D.C. United.

With an assist from goalscorer Lucho Acosta, Barreal found the ball on the left and sent it past goalkeeper Tyler Miller to find the back of the net in a stunning fashion.

4. Claudio Bravo (vs. Austin FC)

The Portland Timbers are slowly getting into the swing of things after a rough start to the 2023 MLS campaign. Though the 2-2 draw against Austin FC wasn't ideal, the team now sits in an acceptable ninth place on the Western Conference table, and Claudio Bravo's goal helped them get there.

The player managed a great 71-minute goal to secure the lead, before the Verde found the equalizer.

3. Jonathan Lewis (vs. LA Galaxy)

Jonathan Lewis makes his way to goals of the week after a stunning goal against the LA Galaxy to secure the 3-1 triumph for the Rapids against the Western Conference giants.

Though the Galaxy have been on a downward spiral, Lewis made sure to capitalize on that with his 81st minute goal.

2. Josef Martinez (vs. Atlanta United)

What a game for Josef Martinez, he just couldn't be stopped.

The player broke record by becoming the fastest player to score 100 goals in Major League Soccer, and did so against none other than his former club. Though he managed two against Atlanta United, it was his first that makes this list.

He connected with DeAndre Yedlin on the right to send the ball past goalkeeper Quentin Westberg and into the far left corner.

1. Luciando Acosta (vs. D.C. United)

Last, but certainly not least, we have Lucho Acosta with an Olimpico against his former club D.C. United. Though he's been with FC Cincinnati now since 2021, he once played alongside D.C. United head coach Wayne Rooney while sporting the black and red jersey.

He was always going to be a focal point in this match, and his goal made it worthwhile. What a strike.
