Sporting Kansas City have confirmed the departure of midfielder Gadi Kinda for Israeli side Maccabi Haifa.

Kinda returns to his home country where his playing career started in stints with FC Ashdod and Beitar Jerusalem before made the move to MLS in January 2020.

The 29-year-old originally joined the Western Conference side on loan for the 2020 MLS season and tallied six goals in 22 appearances across competitions. Due to his impressive performances, his loan was made permanent ahead of the 2021 campaign.

In 80 total appearances for Kansas City, Kinda amassed 16 goals and 17 assists as an attacking midfielder. Kinda scored his first goal in MLS Cup playoffs this past term in the first round against in-state rivals St Louis CITY, where his side swept the league's newest team who finished at the summit of the Western Conference.

Kinda joins a Maccabi Haifa side that currently sits in second place in the Israeli Premier League with 25 points behind first place Maccabi Tel-Aviv with 31 points.

Kinda has also represented Israel at the international level, making seven appearances while scoring twice since being called up for the first time since August 2019.
