Orlando City have announced the sale of forward Silvester van der Water to Eredivise side SC Cambuur-Leeu.

The 25-year-old joined from Dutch side Heracles Almelo ahead of the 2021 MLS season, going on to make 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and assisting another two.

“We want to thank Silvester for his hard work and dedication throughout his time with us here in the City Beautiful,” executive vice president of soccer operations and general manager Luiz Muzzi said in a club press release. “We wish him the very best moving forward and look forward to watching him progress through the rest of his career.”

Van der Water leaves Orlando City fifth in the Eastern Conference with 25 points from 17 games, chasing a third straight MLS Cup Playoff berth. The Lions also beat Nashville SC on penalties last time out to reach their second consecutive US Open Cup semi-final - where they'll face the New York Red Bulls later in July.

Oscar Pareja's side host DC United and Florida rivals Inter Miami in their next two MLS matches.
