History will be made when the Seattle Sounders host Pumas in the second leg of their Concacaf Champions League final on Wednesday.

The two sides are locked at 2-2 after the first leg in Mexico City last week, with the Sounders now taking home advantage into the return fixture.

No MLS side has won CCL since the competition's rebrand in 2008, while the LA Galaxy were the last to win any iteration of the tournament way back in 2000. But even if the Sounders are unsuccessful, they're set to record the biggest attendance in CCL history at any stage, with a crowd of over 67,000 expected at Lumen Field.

And despite Liga MX's dominance, even Pumas are chasing history having never won CCL in its current form; the last of their three titles came way back in 1989.

It's bound to be a historic evening in Seattle, so read on for TV/live stream details, team news and more...

Seattle Sounders team news

Back-up goalkeeper Andrew Thomas is out with a calf injury but Brian Schmetzer has a fully fit roster to choose from otherwise. The Sounders should be well-rested after being given the weekend off in MLS.

Seattle Sounders predicted XI: Frei; A. Roldan, Gomez, Arreaga, Nouhou; Paulo, C. Roldan; Rusnak, Lodeiro, Morris; Ruidiaz.

Pumas team news

Alan Mozo came off injured during the first leg and is likely to miss the return, but Pumas can welcome Arturo Ortiz back from suspension. Unlike the Sounders, Pumas were in domestic action at the weekend and may feel the effects of that should the game go into extra-time.

Argentine forward Juan Dinenno has scored four goals in his last two games, including a brace against Seattle in the first leg.

Pumas predicted XI: Talavera; Rivas, Ortiz, Freire, Calvillo; Alvarez, Lopez, Meritao, Diogo; Rogerio, Dinenno.

Seattle Sounders vs Pumas head-to-head record

This is just the second competitive meeting between these two teams after last week's first-leg stalemate.

Pumas have already knocked out MLS opposition in this year's Champions League, beating the New England Revolution in the quarter-finals. Likewise, the Seattle Sounders beat Liga MX's Club Leon at the same stage.

Seattle Sounders vs Pumas score prediction

Having home advantage in the second leg with the scores all level, Seattle are definitely favorites to win CCL now - a strange position for an MLS team to be in.

That could add extra pressure to the Sounders in front of a record crowd and it has to be said that they're not in good form, going winless in their last four across all competitions.

But they showed their mettle to come back from 2-0 down to get into this position last week. Nico Lodeiro was the inspiration and is probably the biggest difference-maker across either team, while the likes of Raul Ruidiaz, Jordan Morris, and Joao Paulo are high on quality and even higher on experience.

It'll be tough and may even go into extra-time, but Seattle will get it done for Major League Soccer, at long last.

Prediction: Seattle Sounders 1-0 Pumas UNAM (3-2 on aggregate)
