A struggling Reims side host league-leading Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 on Saturday night.

Reims have won just one of their nine matches this season, leaving them inside Ligue 1's relegation zone which has been expanded to encompass four clubs ahead of a structuring next year.

PSG aren't concerned with the widening trap door but have seen their rampaging start to the season slow in the last month. Christophe Galtier's side remain undefeated but failed to win their second game of the campaign away to Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Here's everything you need to know about the meeting between these two clubs.

Reims team news

Reims will have to host their fearsome opponents without one of the two players in the squad that has scored multiple goals this season. Junya Ito was shown a straight red card two minutes after notching his third of the campaign against Troyes last weekend.

Midfielder Jens Cajuste emerged from the champagne country derby with a knee injury. Assistant coach Will Still revealed he could be out for up to four weeks.

Thomas Foket is expected to still be sidelined with a hamstring problem. Striker Kaj Sierhuis returned from his loan spell at Heracles with a cruciate ligament injury, ruling him out for the foreseeable future.

Reims predicted lineup vs PSG

Reims Starting 11 (4-4-2): Diouf; Gravillon, Abdelhamid, Agbadou, Locko; Van Bergen, Lopy, Matusiwa, Flips; Balogun, Holm.

PSG team news

PSG's enterprising young wing-back Nuno Mendes suffered "a major muscle incident" during the midweek draw in Portugal, ruling him out for "several games" according to Galtier. Renato Sanches (groin) and Presnel Kimpembe (muscle) are also set to reside in the Parisian treatment room until the end of October.

PSG predicted lineup vs Reims

PSG Starting 11 (3-4-3): Donnarumma; Ramos, Marquinhos, Danilo; Hakimi, Vitinha, Verratti, Bernat; Sarabia, Mbappe, Neymar.
Bench: Navas, Rico, Ruiz, Messi, Mukiele, Soler, Bitshiabu, Zaire-Emery, Ekitike.

Reims vs PSG score prediction

This is a meeting between two teams with contrasting results but even more wildly differing styles. While PSG follow the pattern of most elite European teams by holding onto the ball and building their way through the thirds, Reims emphatically do the opposite. Oscar Garcia's side have completed ten or more passes in open play just 22 times this season. PSG average 21 such sequences each game (per Opta).

Reims will certainly look to strike PSG in transition - no side in Ligue 1 moves the ball up the pitch quicker - but the sturdier rearguard Galtier has forged in Paris should be a match for the early season strugglers.

Even if Arsenal-loanee Folarin Balogun continues his scoring hot streak, it's unlikely the third-leakiest defence in France will be able to keep PSG's famed frontline under wraps.

Prediction: Reims 1-3 PSG
