Tottenham manager Rehanne Skinner has signed a new contract until the end of the 2023/24 WSL campaign, having guided the club to the brink of their best ever league finish in 2021/22.

Skinner was appointed last November and quickly steered Spurs away from any danger of relegation, eventually consolidating in eighth place.

This season has shown a remarkable improvement, with Skinner’s side winning four games in a row at the start of the campaign and impressively remaining in the Champions League race until slipping away only recently.

But they remain on course for a top half finish for the first time and have already considerably bettered their record WSL points tally and number of wins with five games of the season still to play.

“I’m delighted to sign a new contract,” Skinner told the club’s official website.

“Throughout the course of my time here I’ve felt really supported by the club in terms of the vision we have as a collective. We’re on a journey and it’s a chance for us to keep building. We know where we are and where a club of Tottenham Hotspur’s stature should be.

“You can’t underestimate the value of top-quality training facilities and we’ve been supported completely. The club is meeting my ambitions and we know the direction we want to go in.”

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy added, “The team has delivered consistently strong performances and I know Rehanne and her coaching staff are driven to take them even further. We’re all excited about what the future holds.”
