Erling Haaland's first season at Manchester City will be the stuff of legend, especially if his side get over the line as they chase a treble.

The Norway international has no shortage of quality around him and continues to score at a phenomenal rate. He's already busted a number or scoring records at the Etihad and the feats are expected to keep tumbling before him.

Here are a handful of the records he could smash while he's at City.

What records can Erling Haaland break at Manchester City?

Most goals in a Premier League season

Only two players sit ahead of Haaland for most goals scored in a single Premier League season; Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.

The former England internationals both managed 34 strikes in the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons respectively. Both hauls took place in 42-game seasons, but they are expected to fall behind Haaland before the 2022/23 campaign is over.

Haaland has already surpassed Mohamed Salah's previous record of 32 goals for a 38-game term.

Most goals in a Champions League season

Haaland has grabbed ten goals in the Champions League with City so far and will hope to have a maximum of three games to get as close to Cristiano Ronaldo's record as possible.

The Portugal international struck 17 times in 2013/14 and owns the top three spots, with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema and Lionel Messi also enjoying strong seasons in Europe.

Most teams scored against in a Premier League season

Haaland seems to score in every game he plays but there are a couple of sides he has blanked against so far in England.

The record for both 38 and 42-game season for most teams scored against is tied at 17 between Haaland (2022/23), Ian Wright (1996/97) and Mohamed Salah (2017/18).

Should Haaland net against Chelsea or Brentford before the end of the season - the two teams he failed to score against the first time around - he will claim the record.

Most hat-tricks in a Premier League season

Should Haaland manage two hat-tricks during the 2022/23 run-in, he will overtake Shearer for most hat-tricks scored in a single Premier League season.

Shearer notched five in 1996/97 - his first campaign with Newcastle - while Haaland has four trebles coming against Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Wolves.

Most hat-tricks in Premier League history

Haaland became the first player ever to score three consecutive Premier League home hat-tricks when he struck thrice in the Manchester derby victory in October, having already battered both Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Only five other players - Les Ferdinand, Ian Wright, Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane - have previously nettled trebles in consecutive league matches.

The Norwegian has only just started his City career but is already eyeing up the Premier League hat-trick record currently held by Sergio Aguero.

The former City striker netted 12 hat-tricks during his time at the Etihad and tops a star-studded leaderboard which sees Alan Shearer in second with 11 and Robbie Fowler in third with nine. Current players Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Mohamed Salah are all ahead of Haaland in the standings.

Longest goalscoring streak in Premier League

Jamie Vardy famously shattered Ruud van Nistelrooy's consecutive scoring record during the 2015/16 season when he led Leicester to the Premier League title.

He netted in 11 straight appearances, scoring 13 goals in total. It's a tall order, but definitely a streak Haaland can match or improve on in the future.

All-time Premier League goalscorer

It depends how long Haaland stays at City, but he's been rocketing up the all-time rankings in his first season in the Premier League.

Alan Shearer is the leading scorer right now thanks to the 260 goals he scored with Blackburn and Newcastle, so Haaland is some way away from reaching that figure, and other current stars like Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Mohamed Salah are many miles ahead in the standings.

However, whenever Haaland's time at City comes to an end, there's no doubting he'll be near the top of the standings.

All-time Champions League goalscorer

In the same vein, Haaland is a proven scorer in the Champions League and his rate of goals makes it likely he'll be among the best strikers in the competition's history.
