Real Madrid will look to get their season back on track when their Champions League quarter-final tie with Chelsea gets underway on Wednesday.

With La Liga glory slipping further and further away, Real Madrid will demand success in their favourite competition of all and there'll be a confidence that they have what it takes to see off a Chelsea side in turmoil.

Here's how Carlo Ancelotti could set up.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Chelsea (4-3-3)

GK: Thibaut Courtois - The former Blue isn't exactly the most popular figure among Chelsea fans and he'll be keen to get one over on his previous employers.

RB: Dani Carvajal - With reports suggesting Real want Chelsea's Reece James to replace Carvajal, the veteran should take this tie personally as an opportunity to prove himself.

CB: Eder Militao - Rested for the Villarreal game, Militao should be ready to return to the starting lineup.

CB: David Alaba - Brought off early in midweek, it's Alaba who tends to get the nod over former Chelsea man Antonio Rudiger.

LB: Nacho Fernandez - Nacho did a sensational job against Mohamed Salah in the last leg and deserves another start.

DM: Toni Kroos - Aurelien Tchouameni is out of favour so expect the veteran Kroos to take this spot at the base of midfield.

CM: Luka Modric - Ancelotti gave Modric a rest against Villarreal to protect him for this one.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga - It's impossible to predict where Camavinga will play on the pitch. You might see him at left-back but he's usually at home in midfield.

RW: Federico Valverde - His altercation with Alex Baena might impact his involvement but, if Ancelotti does choose to call on the Uruguayan, he'll likely hand out this spot on the right wing.

ST: Karim Benzema - Consistency has been an issue for Benzema this season but, when he gets everything right, there isn't a defender in the world who can stop him.

LW: Vinicius Junior - Vinicius may not be looking forward to this one, having previously named Reece James as one of his toughest-ever opponents.
