Raphinha apologises for stroppy response to Man Utd substitution
Raphinha has apologised for his reaction to his substitution during the 2-2 draw between Barcelona and Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Brazilian set up Marcos Alonso's opener and dragged Barca level in the second half before his number went up on the fourth official's electronic board during the final ten minutes.
Raphinha was seen punching the seat in front of him after taking his place on the bench as Jordi Alba attempted to calm him down and replacement Ferran Torres saw out the rest of the entertaining clash.
The former Leeds winger has now apologised to Xavi, who himself said Raphinha had nothing to worry about.
Raphinha said: "I've spoken to Xavi. I take this opportunity to apologise to everyone, the coach, Ferran, the team and the fans, but sometimes you want to help so badly that you can't control it."

On the reaction, Xavi added: "That is normal, this is football. I say to the players that they have to be angry. The problem is when they don't have attitude on the pitch and the attitude of Raphinha is amazing.
“Raphinha has apologised to me but he didn't have to. I see it as positive that everyone wants to play."
