Paris Saint-Germain return to Ligue 1 action on Sunday evening, travelling to Rennes for an intriguing clash.

The hosts, who will aim to progress past a rocky patch of league form, will likely prove very stern opposition to Christophe Galtier's men, with the ambition of Champions League qualification spurring them on.

PSG, however, head into the tie having bounced back well from a disappointing defeat to high-flying Lens on New Year's Day. Since that 3-1 loss, the Parisian outfit has progressed in the Coupe de France as well as restored a six-point cushion at the Ligue 1 summit courtesy of a 2-0 victory agaisnt Angers last time out.

Here's how Galtier could set up to continue that form.

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma - Certainly the club's number now, having not missed a minute of league action since the campaign began.

RB: Achraf Hakimi - Should be reinstated after serving a suspension last time, replacing Nordi Mukiele at right-back.

CB: Marquinhos - Continues to be a leading figure on the pitch, having skippered the side in all but two of its league outings this season.

CB: Sergio Ramos - With Presnel Kimpembe still unavailable, Sergio Ramos should be a shoo-in for a 15th league start of the season.

LB: Juan Bernat - Nuno Mendes is still nursing an injury so Juan Bernat should continue here.

CM: Vintinha - Has been a regular in the side since arriving in the summer and, having started twice since the season got back underway, he should feature on Sunday night.

CM: Danilo Pereira - An important defensive cog in a machine littered with creative genius, Portuguese midfielder Danilo Pereira has started four of the previous five in the league for his side.

CM: Fabian Ruiz - Marco Verratti continues to be doubtful due to a thigh problem and will have to be assessed before Sunday night, having missed the victory against Angers.

CF: Lionel Messi - The World Cup-winner returned to domestic action with a goal last time out - good luck, Rennes.

ST: Neymar - Already has 21 goal involvements in his 16 Ligue 1 appearances this term but will look to bag some more having failed to notch in the league since early November.

ST: Kylian Mbappe - World Cup top-scorer and, thus far, on course to finish the campaign as Ligue 1's leading bagsman, too. Will look to add to his 13 strikes as he returns to the lineup at Roazhon Park.
