PFA Vertu Motors League Two Fans' Player of the Month - September nominees

90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2022/23 season.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

Your League Two nominees for September are...


1. Josh Gordon (Barrow)

A second month in-a-row that Barrow front-man Josh Gordon is up for the prize.

He scored in the 3-1 loss at promotion rivals Northampton, and he finished the month with both goals in the 2-0 win at Newport.

2. Andy Cook (Bradford City)

The Bantams really found their form in September and Andy Cook was key with five goals for Mark Hughes's side.

Having scored in the 2-1 win over Walsall, he then claimed both goals in the 2-1 success at Tranmere.

Another brace followed in the 3-0 win over Stevenage.

3. Lawrence Vigouroux (Leyton Orient)

The former Chile youth international goalkeeper was imperious for league leaders Leyton Orient as he did not concede a single goal in September.

This also included a brilliant injury time penalty save at Rochdale to make sure he did not allow a goal in the month.

4. Paul Smyth (Leyton Orient)

The Northern Ireland forward has enjoyed an excellent start to the season along with the brilliant O's and two more goals came in a perfect September for the club.

He scored in the 2-0 home win over Tranmere and also found the net in their win at Barrow.

5. Sam Hoskins (Northampton Town)

The top scorer in the EFL continued his brilliant start to the season with another four goals in September becoming the first player to hit double figures this term.

This included goals against Barrow and Stockport before a brace against Rochdale.

6. Ben Gladwin (Swindon Town)

Assists: 3

Swindon enjoyed a very good September as they went the month undefeated.

They finished the month with three great wins over Sutton, Doncaster and Grimsby and central midfielder Gladwin claimed an assist in each.
