1. Peter Clarke (Tranmere Rovers)
Clean sheets: 4
Former Everton defender Peter Clarke turns 40 in January, but he shows no signs of retiring as he is a rock at the heart of Tranmere’s defence.
Clarke helped Rovers to four clean sheets in December, starting every game for his side last month.
2. Jake Beesley (Rochdale)
It was a great December for Rochdale forward Jake Beesley as he claimed four goals and an assist.
His goals came courtesy of two braces against Bristol Rovers and Newport County.
3. Matty Stevens (Forest Green Rovers)
Forest Green’s dominance of League Two continued in December.
Despite only playing twice, Matty Stevens’s brilliant form continued with three goals and two assists in his side's games against Harrogate and Oldham.
4. Aaron Collins (Bristol Rovers)
Bristol Rovers forward Aaron Collins had an excellent December.
He scored in each game against Sutton, Port Vale and Rochdale, finishing the month with four goals to his name.
5. Stephen McLaughlin (Mansfield Town)
Clean sheets: 1
Three wins from three in December for Mansfield Town and left-back Stephen McLaughlin was crucial.
One clean-sheet and also two goals during the wins over Salford and Carlisle saw McLaughlin shine.
6. Miles Hippolyte (Scunthorpe United)
Keith Hill’s Scunthorpe enjoyed an unbeaten December.
Midfielder Myles Hippolyte played a starring role in the clashes with Stevenage and Oldham, claiming two goals and an assist.
