The League Two action is done and dusted for another year. Now, it's award season.

From a title race that was decided in Forest Green's favour on the final day of the season, to Bristol Rovers accomplishing a seven-goal swing to steal the last automatic promotion spot - this one won't be forgotten any time soon.

Here are your nominees for the 2021/22 PFA Vertu Motors League One Fans' Player of the Year award...

1. Dom Telford (Newport County)

Appearances: 37
Goals: 25
Assists: 3

Dom Telford wasn't a regular under former boss Micky Flynn but stole the show under James Rowberry.

The Newport man finished top of the goalscoring charts with a whopping 25 in 37 games.

2. Mathew Stevens (Forest Green Rovers)

Appearances: 37
Goals: 23
Assists: 3

Injury ended Mathew Stevens' season early but the hard work was already done for him and Forest Green.

The 24-year-old led the way for the eventual champions, netting 23 goals and popping up with a further three assists for good measure.

3. Mitchell Pinnock (Northampton Town)

Appearances: 46
Goals: 8
Assists: 14

One of the most consistent performers in the division, Mitchell Pinnock enjoyed a brilliant season.

His 14 assists, to go with his eight goals, proved crucial in Northampton's promotion chase.

4. Harry McKirdy (Swindon Town)

Appearances: 35
Goals: 19
Assists: 8

It was a sensational campaign for Harry McKirdy, who challenged for monthly honours throughout.

His 19-goal return was easily the best of his career to date and was crucial in Swindon sealing a play-off berth.

5. Kane Wilson (Forest Green Rovers)

Appearances: 45
Goals: 3
Assists: 13

A wonderful season from the Forest Green right-sided superstar, who kept on producing assists.

Stevens and Jamille Matt were the goalscorers but Wilson was the creative hub for the champions, leading the way with 13 assists.

6. Jamille Matt (Forest Green Rovers)

Appearances: 46
Goals: 19
Assists: 9

Forest Green captain Jamille Matt was a class act throughout the season.

The Jamaican ended with 19 goals to his name, one of the better returns in the campaign and just four behind partner-in-crime Stevens, and provided nine assists to help Rovers clinch the title.
