90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2021/22 & 2022/23 seasons.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.


The Championship campaign is coming to a close, so it's time to start handing out awards.

Fulham romped to the title, shattering records in the process, while the race for promotion has been captivating and the battle to avoid the drop has left us unable to turn away.

In such a special season, there are a handful of players who have stood out more than most.

Here are your nominees for the 2021/22 PFA Vertu Motors Championship Fans' Player of the Year award...


1. Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)

'Mitro' had a special season as he claimed a modern day record with 43 goals.

Fulham dominated for much of the campaign and the Serbian superstar was central to it.

Mitrovic has already won a remarkable seven Player of the Month awards during the season and is now looking to add the top prize to his cabinet.

2. Harry Wilson (Fulham)

Harry Wilson was Aleksandar Mitrovic's partner in crime. While the Serb was scoring, the Welsh maestro was creating.

A summer signing from Liverpool, Wilson emerged as the most creative player in the Championship - tormenting defences on a weekly basis.

Not only did Wilson hit double figures, but his mark of 20 assists was remarkable and showed just how important he was to Fulham's success.

3. Billy Sharp (Sheffield United)

'Mr Sheffield United' played a crucial role in their run to the play-offs.

Many thought that United's 36-year-old captain might be a fringe figure this season, but that was really not the case.

Another 14 goals from Sharp showed he is still one of the best finishers around.

4. Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth)

England international Dominic Solanke showing he might soon be knocking on Gareth Southgate's door once again.

Solanke enjoyed the best season of his career and started every game for The Cherries as he led them to promotion.

Only Mitrovic scored more than his 29 goals this season.

5. Ben Brereton Diaz (Blackburn Rovers)

The Chilean star enjoyed a brilliant campaign for Blackburn Rovers, which could prove to be his last at Ewood Park.

Brereton-Diaz's form pushed Blackburn into promotion contention before a play-off spot ultimately alluded them.

It was the best goalscoring season of Brereton-Diaz's season, with the 23-year-old bagging a cool 22 times.

6. Andreas Weimann (Bristol City)

The veteran Austrian had a brilliant campaign for Bristol City as he featured in every game.

Weimann started all 46 matches, failing to complete 90 minutes in just two of them - he only missed 23 minutes all year.

Playing primarily as a number ten, Weimann walked away with 22 goals and ten assists.
