Pernille Harder reveals how Denmark can bounce back from Germany thrashing

From Brentford Community Stadium - Denmark captain Pernille Harder has urged her teammates to use their 4-0 defeat to Germany as a lesson in order to reignite their Euro 2022 campaign.
Die Nationalelf were clearly the better team when the two sides met on Friday evening, with Harder's obvious threat notably and easily nullified as De Rød-Hvide were humbled in their opening group stage match.
Speaking post-match, the Danish skipper insisted this was a learning experience and that the future should be brighter than Friday's showing.
"It’s not nice to lose 4-0, so of course there is some frustration. But yeah, we just have to learn and move on," Harder said.
"[The message to the team] is just we can use this game as learning. We are still a really young team who’s learning every day. We are on a journey to get better every day, so that’s what it is. We have to learn and move on tomorrow.
"It’s a whole new team since [Euro] 2017, so I think we had four players today starting from that team. We have had a generation shift, young players coming in and really talented and I’m sure that the future will be really good.
"It's nice to think about a new game tomorrow."
Kathrine Møller Kühl, who is just 19 years of age, received two late bookings and was given her marching orders with seconds remaining on the night. Harder revealed she spoke to the youngster after the game to offer her encouragement.
"Yeah of course, I said it’s a new day tomorrow. It’s tough sometimes in football but yeah, we just have to learn and she will 100% learn from this and just like the feeling she’ll have after something like this, she will move on," Harder added.
Denmark return to action on Tuesday against Finland at Stadium MK, before returning to Brentford next Saturday to take on Spain.
