Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ready to fight back from another Man Utd crisis

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned that he will not let his time as Manchester United manager be defined by the team's recent poor form.

The boss is under immense pressure after a run of four Premier League games without a win, having watched his side concede nine goals in their last two games against Leicester City and Liverpool.

Solskjaer is expected to remain in charge for now, but another poor result against Tottenham on Saturday would force the club's owners to make a tough decision on his future.

Speaking to Sky Sports in the build-up to the game, Solskjaer insisted that he was prepared to battle his way back from the brink once again and demanded that his players show him a response to the Liverpool humbling last time out.

"I've been through some very bad moments here as a player, when I've been a coach and a manager as well," said Solskjaer. "I've had to deal with setbacks.

"There have been two or three crises, at least, since I became the manager here. One thing I can say is, I'll always give it a good shot and fight back."

United enter Saturday's game seventh in the Premier League table, one point behind a Spurs side who find themselves in somewhat of a crisis of their own, and defeat could see the gap to the top four grow to six points.

Solskjaer continued: "It's been a difficult week of course, we've had to deal with the result and performance against Liverpool.

"That's something footballers have to deal with, and we have to look forward to the next game and make sure we are ready for that game. We've had a good week on the training field.

"We need a reaction, it is my job to put the players in the right frame of mind. We've worked on the pitch, on everything that needs to be sorted for a footballer, that is strategy, game plan, tactics.

"I feel that the boys are ready to give the best, as they always do. In the performance, nothing went to plan, and it was nowhere near our best."
