Nottingham Forest go up against Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.

Spurs are in desperate search of any sort of silverware and will have welcomed a draw at one of the Premier League's weakest teams so far this season.

Forest could view the cup as a welcome distraction to a disappointing campaign thus far, but are unbeaten in their last two home games and head into the tie off the back of a 96th-minute equaliser against Brentford on Saturday.

Here's all you need to know about this third-round matchup...

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham score prediction

Both sides are expected to make several changes with a view to prioritising their final Premier League games before the World Cup break.

Aside from their thrashing at Arsenal last week, Forest have found some relative form and have made City Ground a tough place to go to.

Nevertheless, Spurs should have enough quality to replicate their early season victory on the banks of the River Trent.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 0-2 Tottenham
