Nottingham Forest took a major step towards Premier League survival on Saturday as they left Stamford Bridge with a point after a 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

Taiwo Awoniyi made it four goals in two games with another brace to accompany his double against Southampton on Monday, though Raheem Sterling also scored twice to ensure the spoils were shared.

The draw means Forest are three points above Leeds, who sit 18th, with two games left to go.

Nottingham Forest's point at Chelsea ensured they retained a three-point lead over Leeds in 18th before the final two matchday.

Leeds couldn't make the most of their chances as they held Newcastle to a 2-2 draw at Elland Road on Satuday.

They could have been 2-0 up at one point had Patrick Bamford converted from the spot, but Callum Wilson scored a penalty himself moments later and hopes of a win looked gone when the England international repeated the trick in the second half.

Rasmus Kristensen did manage to earn Leeds a draw but results are now needed at West Ham - Sam Allardyce's former club - and Tottenham on the final day if Leeds are to clamber away from danger.

Everton surprised plenty of Premier League fans with their thrashing of Brighton in their last outing.

That result could prove massive in the relegation battle as they are now a point above the bottom three having played a game fewer than most of their rivals.

Leicester's task of steering away from the bottom three is made all the more difficult by clashes with Liverpool and Newcastle before their final day outing with West Ham.

The Reds are in hot form in the home stretch while Newcastle are putting the final touches on Champions League qualification, meaning the Foxes will have to be at their very best to get results from either fixture.

West Ham may be putting all their eggs in the Europa Conference League basket should they reach the final, which would give Leicester a decent shot at three points at the King Power Stadium.
