Newcastle United will move back into third place in the Premier League table if they beat Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Magpies stand on the brink of a return to Europe and can ease nerves of a top-four finish by ousting fifth-placed Spurs this weekend.

Eddie Howe has a couple of tough calls to make in order to get his side firing again following last week's thrashing by Aston Villa.

Here's who he could call upon.

Newcastle predicted lineup vs Tottenham

GK: Nick Pope - Now one clean sheet behind David de Gea in the race for the Premier League Golden Glove.

RB: Kieran Trippier - Set to face his former side for just the second time since returning to England.

CB: Fabian Schar - Has started to look a little shaky in recent weeks but has largely been imperious this season.

CB: Sven Botman - Similarly enduring a wobble after what's largely been a fine debut campaign on these shores.

LB: Dan Burn - Will have the unenviable task of trying to keep quiet an in-form Son Heung-min.

DM: Bruno Guimaraes - Now firmly one of the Premier League's elite midfielders.

CM: Sean Longstaff - Howe has confirmed Longstaff has overcome an illness and is in contention to return this weekend.

CM: Joe Willock - The Arsenal academy graduate will be keen to get one over his former rivals.

RW: Jacob Murphy - Probably the position most up for grabs in the XI but Murphy's work-rate is important to Howe's system.

CF: Alexander Isak - Named the PFA Fans' Premier League Player of the Month for March. Will be eager to outdo national teammate Dejan Kulusevski on Sunday.

LW: Joelinton - Allan Saint-Maximin is still nursing an injury and Anthony Gordon doesn't really deserve to keep his spot, so Joelinton should be pushed out wide.
