Minnesota United's latest addition, striker Teemu Pukki, scored his first goal for the club in their 3-0 away win over Houston Dynamo.

Just two weeks after officially joining Minnesota United as a Designated Player, Teemu Pukki opened his scoring account for his new club. The goal was assisted by none other than playmaker Emanuel Reynoso, who's getting into fine form with three goals and one assist in six games played.

"Like I said to you guys last week, good players like playing with good players," Minnesota head coach Adrian Heath said.

"And I know that once that Rey starts to know that this guy is going to be on the move, making them little runs in behind defenders, putting little straight runs onto balls – it didn’t surprise me. [Reynoso] has made a career of this and now he’s playing with somebody who’s arguably as good as anybody with the final ball. So, it’s encouraging. It’s a start."

The 33-year-old, who most recently was with EFL Championship side Norwich City, firmly believes that there is more to come from the combination of Reynoso and Pukki.

'I enjoy a lot to play with [Reynoso]," Pukki said in a post-match interview. "We’re still in the first week, so we haven’t played that much together, but I believe I will have fun with him on the pitch. … I can’t wait for the next games to come and eventually when we have a little bit more time together I think it will be even better."

Minnesota, now 10th in the Western Conference on 27 points, will gear up to take on LAFC on July 15 at home.
