Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed his favourite memory with manager Jurgen Klopp was winning the Champions League together in 2019.

Klopp announced back in January he would leave the Reds at the end of the 2023/24 season, citing fatigue as his main reason for stepping aside.

Before his spell at Anfield comes to an end, Klopp and Liverpool have the chance to win a quadruple this season. They have already taken home the Carabao Cup and are well-positioned to claim victory in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

And Salah has admitted it was Klopp's first trophy in his storied reign that is his best memory with the German coach.

When asked in an interview with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher for Sky Sports for his favourite memory of Klopp, Salah took a moment to think before replying: "With him? I always look at him on the line [touchline], he's so emotional on the line! You should watch him the whole game on the line, it's very funny.

"I think when we won the Champions League, it was unbelievable. Emotionally, you could see the videos we had and the emotion we had after the game was a good memory."

Liverpool did not win a trophy in their first three seasons under Klopp, though had lost three cup finals and came up agonisingly short to Manchester City in the 2018/19 title race, finishing runners-up with a record 97 points.

They exorcised any lingering demons three weeks later when they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the Champions League final, with Salah opening the scoring early on from the penalty spot.

This opened the floodgates for Klopp in terms of winning trophies at Liverpool. Since being crowned champions of Europe in 2019, he's guided the Reds to six further pieces of silverware, including their first title in the Premier League era in 2020.
