Manchester United have now made it two wins on the bounce and put another important three points on the board as the Champions League dogfight trickles into the penultimate day of this campaign.

Casemiro's acrobatic finish within the first ten minutes was enough for the visiting United outfit to drown out freshly safe Bournemouth. Two excellent saves from David de Gea held on to United's lead and recorded his 17th clean sheet of this term, which mathematically crowns him the 2022/23 Golden Glove winner.

Though it may have been nerve-tingling at times for Erik ten Hag and his entourage, the win will be celebrated regardless.

With the end of the season looming, here's how the run-in looks for Erik ten Hag and his men.

United's temporary wobble began away at Tottenham after taking a two goal lead into the break. Tottenham began on the front foot following the interval and managed to scrape a draw, with the visiting side highlighting the consequence of their gruelling schedule of late.

Wedged in between their damning results was one that would have calmed the nerves for supporters and players alike as Bruno Fernandes' goal nullified the brilliance of Aston Villa.

Two 1-0 away defeats on the bounce to Brighton and West Ham slightly dampened their hopes of securing top four while simultaneously boosting those of the rising Liverpool.

A comfortable 2-0 win over Wolves and the return of the Argentinian phenom Alejandro Garnacho lifted bums of Old Trafford seats as the youngster marked his return with a 94th-minute goal. This was followed by a comprehensive win on the road over south coast side Bournemouth, who took a blow early on by Casemiro's impressive effort, as he latched on to a delicate pass by his midfield partner Christian Eriksen.

Manchester United vs Chelsea - Premier League

Though the pair remain in the upper echelons of English football, Chelsea's tumultuous term cannot be understated as United will enter clear favourites.

One look at their recent head-to-head record (five draws in their last five meetings) will present a cause for concern in the United camp, but the late push for Wednesday and Thursday nights will potentially get them over the line.

Frank Lampard's second spell as boss has been not what he had hoped for but his results of late have swayed more in his favour with a win over Bournemouth and then a draw against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest. They're better than losses, right?

With Liverpool on their tail and their recent wobble closing the gap, United's Champions League qualification may boil down to the final day of the season against Fulham.

This will be the sides' third fixture this term, with United coming out as victors on both occasions.

The Cottagers have now secured a top-half finish courtesy of their two wins on the bounce over Leicester and Southampton but will seek revenge in the final game of the season after their last encounter.

Fulham's talismanic striker Aleksandr Mitrovic was dismissed in the FA Cup quarter-final bout and will look to make amends on his side's trip to Manchester.

Manchester City vs Manchester United - FA Cup final

United's own chance to spoil their city compatriot's treble chase is last on the agenda, but will United have that recent Wembley edge?

Pep Guardiola's City have Inter to compete with and three games remaining in the Premier League to pull it off and match the achievement of their city neighbours.

But that's not all - it's a fantastic opportunity for the Reds to bolster their trophy cabinet by adding the FA Cup in Ten Hag's inaugural season.

Are United the outside shout to bring home the glory? Of course. But it's a final and a local rivalry; so anything can happen.
