The break for Wolves has allowed Bruno Lage to welcome several players back from Covid-19 isolation, although Hwang Hee-chan is unlikely to feature after sustaining a hamstring injury.

In good news for the Wolves faithful, Pedro Neto is getting closer, while Rayan Ait-Nouri could be back with the team after he missed the draw with Chelsea with a groin problem.

Man Utd vs Wolves head-to-head record

Man Utd have won four out of their last five meetings against Wolves, conceding just once in their last six clashes.

United won the reverse fixture between these sides in August in controversial circumstances as Bruno Lage bemoaned the decision not to award a foul on midfielder Ruben Neves in the build up to Mason Greenwood's late winner in a 1-0 victory.

Man Utd vs Wolves score prediction

Wolves will pose a very stiff test for Rangnick's men after they were able to hold runaway leaders Man City to just a 1-0 win last month.

They boast one of the meanest defences in the division and it will be a test of Rangnick's credentials as head coach after a mixed start to life in Manchester, although the visitors are also notoriously goal -shy at the other end.

Expect a low-scoring affair, with United perhaps to edge it.

Prediction: Man Utd 1-0 Wolves
