Manchester United continue their pre-season tour of the US with a friendly against Real Madrid this week.

The Red Devils kicked off their Stateside adventure with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Arsenal on Saturday, while a second-string side will play against Wrexham one day before Erik ten Hag's key men face Los Blancos.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, had to come from two goals down to beat Milan 3-2 in the opening match of their respective tour.

A meeting between these two giants will always draw eyes even if it isn't officially billed as competitive - as Erik ten Hag said last week, his sides don't engage in 'friendly games'.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of this one.

Man Utd team news

With a young and fringe side taking on Wrexham a day earlier, Ten Hag is likely to play as full-strength a team as possible against Real Madrid.

Anthony Martial has resumed training but is unlikely to be risked, while Amad Diallo is also not expected to be rushed back from a minor injury problem. Tyrell Malacia is likely to be their only other main absentee.

Ten Hag is in line to hand Andre Onana his debut following his mega-money move from Inter at the end of last week.

Real Madrid team news

Carlo Ancelotti's only major injury headache concerns Arda Guler, who is battling discomfort in his leg and has been absent from training.

Other than that, his stars are good to go, including former Man Utd transfer target Jude Bellingham, who made his debut in Real Madrid's recent win against Milan.

Man Utd vs Real Madrid score prediction

These sorts of friendlies have become quite commonplace in the age of pre-season tours across the globe.

Ten Hag and Ancelotti both know the result won't meet a lot in the grand context of their respective 2023/24 campaigns, but neither will be happy seeing their team lose regardless.

Man Utd were rampantly impressive against a Premier League frontrunner in Arsenal at the weekend and that should hold a little more weight than Real Madrid's comeback victory against Milan if we're having to split hairs. The Red Devils are always the pre-season kings, after all.

Prediction: Man Utd 3-1 Real Madrid
