Manchester United will look to continue their bright form on Sunday afternoon when they host Leicester at Old Trafford.

The mood around Man Utd is good right now and there is a strong belief among the more optimistic sections of the fanbase that they will have a say in the Premier League title race. Anything other than a win against Leicester would be a huge blow, though.

Erik ten Hag's side come into Sunday's game having just got a very credible 2-2 draw away at La Liga leaders Barcelona in the Europa League knockout round play-off first leg. They are five points behind Arsenal and Manchester City which means they cannot be fully discounted yet.

At the weekend they'll face a Leicester side threatening to break out into form, having smashed Tottenham 4-1 in their last outing.

Man Utd team news

The Red Devils will be without Casemiro as he serves the final game of his three-match ban. They enjoyed his return against Barcelona but he won't play a role against Leicester. Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez will be back after serving suspensions in the Europa League.

Scott McTominay could come back from injury to replace Casemiro but the game may also come too soon for the Scotsman. That lends itself to Ten Hag trusting Fred and Sabitzer to run the midfield as Christian Eriksen remains out for a long time. Anthony Martial and Antony remain out with injuries.

Leicester City team news

There is a good chance Youri Tielemans makes his return to the Leicester midfield against one of the sides that has repeatedly threatened to sign him. Boubakary Soumare is also set to make his return from a hamstring injury he suffered at the beginning of January.

Brendan Rodgers has suggested James Maddison will be involved even though his training regime has been altered to accommodate for an ongoing knee issue.

Man Utd vs Leicester City score prediction

There is the potential for this to be a very tight and cagey game. They often are when these two sides meet. Manchester United are certainly the better team of the two but it remains to be seen how much the Barcelona game took out of the squad.

Leicester are looking confident and beat Tottenham 4-1 last time out. They will have every confidence in themselves to get something at Old Trafford, but the quality of players like Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes could be too much for Rodgers' side on this occasion.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Leicester City
